The Hong Kong Football Association welcomes government's budget proposal to upgrade Football pitch 2021-02-26

Regarding today's government’s announcement of the 2021-22 budget, which will include the refurbishment of Football pitches and recreational sports facilities. In addition, an investment of 318 million yuan to implement the "five-year plan to enhance Football Stadium Facilities'', the Hong Kong Football Association expressed a warm welcome and believed this government plan can promote the long-term development of local Football and promote the professionalization of five-a-side Football.

2020-21 Sapling Cup Semi-final - Eastern Long Lions 1:0 Kitchee 2021-02-24

Eastern Long Lions and Kitchee squared off in Mongkok Stadium on Wednesday night for a crunching battle in the Sapling Cup semi-final stage. Alessandro Leonardo’s first half goal proved to be the eventual match-winner, as Eastern Long Lions edged Kitchee 1:0 on the evening and punched its ticket for the Sapling Cup final.

Fixture Announcement of 2020-21 BOC Life Hong Kong Premier League and updates of this week fixture 2021-02-24

Further to Hong Kong Football Association (HKFA) earlier announcement on 2020-21 BOC Life Hong Kong Premier League and Sapling Cup match resumption in February, today HKFA announced the remaining fixture of HKPL matches from March. The match will begin at the Week 4 fixture of HKPL. The first match will be kicked off at 8pm on 4 March 2021(next Thursday) at Mong Kok stadium with Kitchee vs Tin Shui Wai Pegasus. 2020-21 Sapling Cup Semi-final Eastern Long Lions vs Kitchee 2021-02-24

Eastern Long Lions will take on old nemesis Kitchee on Wednesday evening in Mong Kok Stadium. The match will go underway at 19:00.

Eastern Long Lions wrapped up the group-stage by claiming the pole position in Group B. The high-flying side managed to score a whopping seventeen goals in six group matches, easily the highest scoring side amongst the eight premier league teams in the competition. With two more goals scored by sharp shooter Alessandro Leonardo on the weekend, Eastern Long Lions’ attacking trio of Leonardo, Everton Camargo and Lucas Da Silva have now been responsible for thirteen of the team’s seventeen goals in this season’s Sapling Cup tournament, making them a dangerous force to be reckoned with. New additions Jared Lum and Luis Chebel seem to be settling into their new surrounding nicely and should continue to do well in the Eastern Long Lions lineup.

Regarding the arrangement of match rescheduling on 2020-21 Sapling Cup Semi-final. 2021-02-23

Further to the Hong Kong Football Association (HKFA) earlier announcement on Happy Valley breach of 2020/21 Premier League Competition Regulation, the previously scheduled football match in Sapling Cup Semi-final held at 7pm on February 24 at Mong Kok Stadium will not be held. HKFA received the appeal from Happy Valkey against the earlier verdict and it is now being processed.
