Hong Kong Football Association programme resumption and updates 2021-03-05

Further to the government announcement of relaxing social distancing measures gradually and more venues of Leisure and Cultural Services Departments have reopened, Hong Kong Football Association (HKFA) has been communicating closely with relevant parties regarding programme resumption and commencement. HKFA plans to start our programmes in an orderly manner. From early March onwards, various programmes will start and resume, including a number of Jockey Club HKFA Football Development Programmes. The Jockey Club Youth Football Leagues for U13, U14, U15, U16 and U18 will also be kicked off during 26 to 28 March. Please refer to the following list for programmes restart details:




Jockey Club Futsal Cup (School Division)

to be updated

Jockey Club Futsal League

will start in late March

Jockey Club Regional Futsal Training and Competition (Second-Round Selection)

will start on 10 March

Jockey Club Women's Football League

will resume from 20 March

Jockey Club Women's Youth Football League

will start on 23 March (U18) and 28 March (U15)

Jockey Club Youth Football Development Programme-Training Scheme

will resume from 8 March (Boys) and 13 March (Girls)

Jockey Club Youth Football League (U13 - U18)

will start during 26 to 28 March


Moreover, in order to cope with the shortened season and with the target to finish all 2020-21 competitions no later than early July 2021, the playing format of the competitions will be adjusted, and the number of matches will be reduced. More details can be found on HKFA website in due course.


Due to the current health situation, people participating in the above programmes including coaches and students should follow the HKFA medical guideline and the government requirement on hygiene measures strictly. HKFA will monitor the situation closely and review the arrangement from time to time.
