|2018-2019 Jockey Club Futsal League FA Cup (R2) 3rd Place – Resources Capital 10:2 Eastern District
Resources Capital met up with Eastern District on Sunday afternoon in Ma On Shan Sports Centre, competing for the Jockey Club Futsal League FA Cup (Round 2) third-place. Resources Capital scored early in the game and never looked back, eventually defeating Eastern District by 10:2.
Resources Capital got off to a fast start in the game. On the 4th minute, Mak Hei-yue pulled the trigger on a powerful shot. The Eastern District goalkeeper got a hand on the ball but could not prevent it from crossing the goal-line. Resources Capital now had the lead.
Resources Capital netted its second goal of the game two minutes later, as Lam Fu-kwai connected with a teammate’s pass and buried his shot. It was 2:0 for Resources Capital.
On the 10th minute, it was still Resources Capital. This time, Resources Capital triggered a counter-attack, Lam Fu-kwai found teammate Chan Lok-him, as the latter finished things off with a fine strike. The score was now 3:0.
On the 11th minute, Eastern District lost the ball in its own half, Resources Capital’s Leung Sin-fung capitalized on the situation and found the back of the net. The score was now 4:0 for Resources Capital.
Resources Capital continued the onslaught and hit Eastern District with another goal late in the first-half, as Wong Ching-tak made a powerful run in the middle and fired the ball into the Eastern District net. It was now 5:0 for Resources Capital heading into the half-time break.
Ten minutes into the second-half, Resources Capital managed to add to its lead, as Chow Ka-wa found teammate Ma Man-ching with a neat pass. Ma pulled the trigger and made it 6:0.
Shortly afterwards, Resources Capital’s Ma Man-ching unleashed a cracking shot from the left side and found the back of the Eastern District net. It was now 7:0 for Resources Capital.
On the 32nd minute, Resources Capital’s Lam Fu-kwai broke loose down the middle and finished things off with a nice shot, making it 8:0 in the process.
Eastern District managed to break the goose egg on the 34th minute, as Ng Tsz-hin picked up the ball through a teammate’s cheeky back-heel and smashed the ball into the Resources Capital net. The score was now 8:1 for Resources Capital.
A few minutes later, Eastern District’s Wan King-yiu collected the ball through a teammate’s long pass, then took care of the rest by firing the ball into net. It was now 8:2 for Resources Capital.
On the 38th minute, Resources Capital restored order, as Chan Lok-him took aim from the left side and drilled the ball into the back of the Eastern District net, making it 9:2.
Late in the game, Eastern District failed to clear the ball away from its own end. Leung Sin-fung pounced on the opportunity and drove the ball into the net, making it 10:2.
The score stood towards the final whistle, as Resources Capital defeated Eastern District 10:2.
